Indian Railways to run Special Passengers Trains starting from May 12, 2020

The national transporter Indian Railways has announced today that starting for 12th May, 2020 special passenger trains will be started between important routes. A total of 15 pairs of special trains will be started at first all originating from New Delhi Railway Station to an important destination such as Mumbai, Patna, Kolkata, Dirbug, Varanasi, Chennai, Amritsar, Bengaluru, etc.

After, starting special Sharmik Trains for migrants since May 5 this move is to ease regular passenger movement between important stations. The Indian Railways also, said that the fares of these special trains will be normal and all bookings will be done from May 11th, 2020 from 4 pm online through the IRCTC website and no bookings will be made through stations and various other counters.

On a special note, railways have said that no passenger will be allowed to enter the station without a confirmed ticket, and wearing a mask and carrying a hand sanitizer is compulsory without which entry will be denied to the passenger.
