Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RM) or the Medical Provider (MP). The incumbent will serve as Post’s Nurse with responsibilities that will include medical care of American officers assigned at the U.S. Embassy and their family members using the approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Embassy. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.
Education Requirements:
Completion of Degree (Registered Nurse level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Must possess and maintain a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nurse license from the Host nation, country of origin, or the United States.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level III (Good working knowledge) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.
